H2 Solution Meets with China Merchants Group to Explore Hydrogen Infrastructure Collaboration
November, 2025
In November 2025, H2 Solution met with China Merchants Group to exchange views on hydrogen infrastructure development in Hong Kong, including the planning and development of hydrogen refuelling stations, and to explore potential areas for collaboration in the hydrogen sector.
Hydrogen refuelling stations are a critical piece of infrastructure for enabling widespread hydrogen vehicle adoption, and their siting, planning and business models are central to the development of the broader hydrogen ecosystem. China Merchants Group, as a major state-owned enterprise with extensive resources and a wide business network in Hong Kong — spanning port logistics, transport infrastructure and energy — presents meaningful synergy potential for hydrogen infrastructure collaboration with H2 Solution.
The meeting was constructive, with both parties establishing a shared initial understanding of hydrogen infrastructure development directions. H2 Solution will continue to engage with industry partners to help build out Hong Kong's hydrogen supporting facilities, creating the conditions for large-scale hydrogen vehicle deployment.

H2 Solution Leads Partners to Foshan to Visit Hydrogen Tractor Units and Hydrogen Energy Exhibition Hall
November, 2025
H2 Solution led a delegation of partners to Foshan, Guangdong for another hydrogen study trip. In addition to inspecting hydrogen-powered tractor units, the group visited a local hydrogen energy exhibition hall, gaining a broader understanding of the overall development landscape of China's hydrogen industry.
Foshan is one of the most advanced cities in China for hydrogen industry development, leading the country in the large-scale deployment of hydrogen commercial vehicles and supporting infrastructure. At the hydrogen exhibition hall, the delegation learned about the evolution of hydrogen technology, its application scenarios and future directions, while hands-on exposure to hydrogen tractor units gave the group a more concrete appreciation of the commercialisation potential of hydrogen heavy-duty vehicles.
H2 Solution noted that Foshan's hydrogen development experience holds important reference value for Hong Kong. By continuing to organise industry visits to the Mainland, the company hopes to build confidence among local partners in hydrogen technology and gather more practical evidence to support the deployment of hydrogen vehicles in Hong Kong.
Signing MOU with Vehicle Operators to Jointly Advance Hong Kong Hydrogen Vehicle Pilot
August, 2025
In August 2025, the group formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with local vehicle operators, establishing a shared commitment to advancing Hong Kong's hydrogen vehicle pilot programme and supporting the government's push for green transport transition.
The collaboration covers vehicle assessment, trial operation arrangements and ongoing operational support. Both parties will work closely on practical matters including vehicle specification selection, pilot route planning and day-to-day maintenance, with the aim of building valuable operational experience for hydrogen vehicles' first commercial deployments in Hong Kong.
ESI believes that bringing hydrogen vehicles to the road requires more than just technology — active participation from operators is equally essential. The signing of this MOU marks a concrete step forward in formalising that partnership and moving Hong Kong's hydrogen transport ambitions closer to reality.
H2 Solution Leads Operator Partners on Mainland Study Trip to Assess Hydrogen Coaches and Tractors for Hong Kong
August, 2025
H2 Solution led the management teams of local tourism companies and transport operators on a study trip to the Mainland to assess hydrogen fuel cell coaches and tractor units — gathering first-hand information to evaluate the feasibility of introducing these vehicles to Hong Kong.
The delegation visited hydrogen vehicle production and showcase facilities, gaining direct exposure to different vehicle models, their specifications, performance and real-world operational experience. Coaches and tractor units are key vehicle types in Hong Kong's commercial transport sector, and successfully introducing hydrogen-powered versions could make a meaningful contribution to the low-carbon transition of the local tourism and logistics industries.
H2 Solution Joins Hydrogen Development Forum Led by Prof. Wong Kam-Fai William
--- Industry Meets Government on Standards, Subsidies and Cross-Boundary Arrangements
August, 2025
In August 2025, H2 Solution participated in a hydrogen development exchange forum organised by Legislative Council member Prof. Wong Kam-Fai William. The forum was specially arranged to bring hydrogen industry representatives face-to-face with officials from the Environment and Ecology Bureau and the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) for an open and candid exchange.
Industry representatives raised questions and concerns on key issues including hydrogen safety standards, the subsidy application process, and cross-boundary arrangements for hydrogen vehicles. Government officials provided updates on Hong Kong's hydrogen progress — including the work of the inter-departmental hydrogen task force, amendments to the Gas Safety Ordinance, and the latest status of the pilot subsidy scheme — and patiently addressed industry queries, expressing their willingness to maintain ongoing dialogue.
H2 Solution views the forum as a valuable opportunity for direct government-industry communication, helping both sides better understand each other's needs and challenges. The company hopes this open and collaborative spirit will continue, supporting the more effective implementation of Hong Kong's hydrogen strategy.

H2 Solution Signs MOU with HYPERVIEW (Hong Kong) Technology Company Limited to Advance Hydrogen Vehicle Development in Hong Kong
July, 2025
H2 Solution and HYPERVIEW (Hong Kong) Technology Company Limited formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on advancing hydrogen vehicle applications in Hong Kong, exploring new opportunities at the intersection of green transport and smart mobility.
The partnership aims to combine both parties' strengths in new energy transport and industry resources to drive hydrogen vehicle adoption in the Hong Kong market. Areas of collaboration include market promotion, application development, technical exchange and project co-operation. Together, the two companies hope to accelerate the deployment of hydrogen vehicles across tourism, logistics, commercial transport and other green mobility sectors in Hong Kong.
HYPERVIEW brings deep expertise in hydrogen fuel cell vehicle technology, while H2 Solution focuses on market development and policy engagement in Hong Kong. Both parties believe this collaboration will help integrate technology, industry and market resources to inject fresh momentum into Hong Kong's green transport transition.
H2 Solution Supports Partners in Securing Government Approval-in-Principle for Hydrogen Pilot Scheme
March, 2025
Two of H2 Solution's partner companies, Kam Wai Tourist Bus (HK) Company and Affluent Coach Services Company, successfully received Approval-in-Principle (AIP) from the Hong Kong SAR Government for the hydrogen vehicle pilot scheme — a significant milestone in the journey to bring hydrogen vehicles to Hong Kong's roads.
The AIP confirms that the relevant hydrogen vehicle projects meet the requirements of the government's pilot programme, laying the groundwork for formal applications and vehicle procurement. Hong Kong is currently in the early stages of hydrogen development, with the government using pilot subsidies to encourage industry players to trial hydrogen vehicles and build local operational experience ahead of broader rollout.
Throughout the application process, H2 Solution played an active supporting role — helping partners liaise with the government, prepare application materials and coordinate across stakeholders. The company will continue to support its partners through the next stages of the process, working towards bringing hydrogen vehicles to Hong Kong as soon as possible.
